I must say, it has been delightful being home, again. So many times visiting before, I would become restless and guilty - feeling I was wasting my time doing nothing here at home, when my career in NYC was a'callin'. I would be home for 3 days before wanting to jet straight back to my crazy life in the big city. But not so this time. I am doing an extraordinarily good job of taking each day in its own right and enjoying everything I do. I've met with a few friends, but many are already back to school, so I'm spending much more time with my family, which is really terrific. That is something that's been on my mind recently - I just seemed to keep hearing/reading things about how important family is, and when you're on your death bed, you probably won't be wishing you had worked more, but rather, had spent more time with your loved ones. Now, I am hard-wired to work work work, but I think it's very important for me to learn to cultivate my desire to spend time with my family. They won't be here forever.

*Sorry, sorry, I know it's been far too long since my last post, but my computer has been off getting fixed and I didn't want to do a half-hearted post with no pictures and whatnot. So, long over-due, but here it is. Finally.
This past Thursday (meaning Sept 6th, which was the applicable title when I started this post. Oi.) was a busy day - up early for work, a fiasco at the Post Office, voice lesson, cleaning the entire apartment, packing, and then a well deserved, farewell drink with the roomie. I was up and off to JFK at 5.30am Friday morning. So, I watched The Decoy Bride last night (which stars David Tennant), and it was a fantastic, incredibly funny film. I would love to do a movie like that some day. However, I ended up having nightmares about getting married. All. Night. Long. It was ridiculous. And horrifying. I think I have some deep-seeded commitment issues. It's a darn good thing I'm not in a relationship right now, 'cus after last night's smorgasbord of terror, I probably would've bolted.
Just thought I'd share that with you all before moving on to the real reason of this post - reflecting on Madam Fury's Traveling Show. Well, it happened. It's already over. Kinda hard to believe we're done with it. It took up the last month of my life, and was fantastic, and fun, and so great to be working again - especially on a good/worthwhile piece of new theatre with some truly fantastic people. As you may or may not know, I'm a writer for the site Quarter Life Daily. They finally got around to posting my article about traveling in Guatemala! Check it out: http://qldaily.com/travel-tips-for-guatemala/.
Seeing as how Madam Fury's Traveling Show has taken up all my time the past few weeks, I think it's about time I caught everyone up with some Pinterest Recipes - considering I'm currently in wk 19, and haven't shared any recipes past wk 7. I know, I know. I said a while ago I was going to be better about keeping up - but this time I really mean it! So, here we go. We got some good, some mediocre, some delicious, and some disappointing. Well, Madam Fury's Traveling Show is up and performing its tricks to the utmost. Today is our day off, so I actually have a bit of time to catch up!
