Team Ranger for the Win!

What a crazy busy few weeks I've had! It's been absolutely terrific having so much on my plate.  Hansel and Gretel opens Saturday and runs until January 4th.  I finished up Tough Cookies.  I began rehearsal for Reindeer Monologues.  I've been working on new songs and monologues for audition season, and have been taking new classes.  Some exciting new prospects are on the horizon.
But probably the best thing is that Strider has made a full recovery! The vet cautioned he might not start getting an appetite and perking up for 6-8 weeks.  That news was disheartening, but if force feeding and giving IV every day for 8 weeks is what it took to get my guy better, that's what we were gunna do.  It was such a joy after just 2 1/2 weeks he started eating on his own! I let him eat as much as he wanted, and then forced him the rest - but by 3 weeks he was eating a whole can by himself! Never have I been so happy to have him cry at me in the morning because he was hungry and wanted food NOW!

He's now eating 1 1/2 cans a day, and I haven't seen him like this in years.  He has so much energy and is slimmer (he'd gotten a bit bigger in his older age and decreased activity level).  He races around the apartment, chases paper balls, is always there to greet me at the door, and is so sleek and handsome.  I'm so happy to have my little love back :)

I've been doing a lot of makeup these past few weeks, as well - face painting parties, special effects, and glamor looks.  I'm actually quite excited about my expanding skill set and found I like doing makeup on other people more than on myself - I think it has to do with seeing my idea come to life on someone else.  I KNOW I can do anything on my own face, but doing it to someone else is a true test of my ability.  I want to create a portfolio.  Who knows when/where it'll come in handy!

Take a look at some of the fun stuff I've been doing.

So glad to hear that Stry's fully recovered. Amazing what TLC and the right food can do. Love the facepaintings. Include Stry in the portfolio you put together. It shows additional skills - nursing and animal care.
Love you!
